VOLUNTEER

Help Us Spread the Word about Greyhound Adoption!

Our greyhound family is filled with people with big hearts who make our adoption efforts a success. We have several ways you can contribute to our success,

Volunteer at the Kennel: We are always in need of able-bodied volunteers to help with the daily cleaning responsibilities as well as socializing greyhounds.  The latter is paramount to MSGAO’s past, current, and future success. Kennel volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

Dog Walkers: The kennel needs people willing to spend some time with the hounds walking on leash in the yard and tossing a toy around the pen. This a great way for the greyhounds awaiting adoption to get some experience being a pet. Some of these greyhounds are terribly shy.  Interacting with volunteers helps these hounds to come out of their shells and allow their true personalities to shine. Dog-walker shifts are Mondays and Wednesdays through Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. Contact the kennel at midsouthgreyhound@sbcglobal.net for details.

Special Events:  Watch our Facebook page for alerts on special events where greyhounds

can be showcased.  Examples include pet blessings,

adoption festivals and MSGAO-sponsored events.

Your pet will enjoy the attention greyhounds always attract!

Donations: Money and items that can be used for fund-raising auctions and drawings — are another

way to support MSGAO.  Click on the "Donate" button to make a donation or check our Facebook page for other opportunities to give.
